PML-N emerges as single largest party in AJK elections

MUZAFFARABAD (92 News) – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has emerged single largest party by grabbing 32 seats, out of total 41, in the general elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. According to unofficial results, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference have won three seats each, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf two while Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Party got one seat. An Independent candidate has also returned to the Legislative Assembly. Supporters of the winning candidates celebrated their victory, danced to the beat of drum and distributed sweets. On the news aired by 92 News, the AJK IG had taken notice of the aerial firing by the supporters of Khalid Ibrahim in Rawalakot. Sources said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will travel to AJK after stunning victory in AJK elections. On the other hand, Pakistan People’s Party has rejected the election results and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asked the party leadership to submit report. Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan congratulated Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of their victory in the elections.
