PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal says govt banned media through PEMRA

LAHORE (92 News) – PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that the government has banned the media through the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).

Talking to the media on Thursday, he said that their struggle included independence of the media. "The objective of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is the rule of the law and the constitution," he maintained.

He said that PM Imran Khan reiterates only one thing – he will not give the NRO – whenever any question is asked.

The PML-N leader said that Imran Khan had destroyed economy due to his incompetence. "What kind of thieves we were as flour was available at Rs 34 per kg and sugar at Rs 52 per kg. Now both daily-use items are being sold at Rs 80 per kg and Rs 115 per kg respectively," he maintained.

He said that Imran Khan's 'Waseem Akram Plus' had destroyed each sector. "The government will flee after their public rallies in Lahore, Karachi and Quetta," he said.
