LAHORE (92 News) - The arrest of PML-N leader Mian Javed Latif has been challenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC).

Mian Javed Latif's brother filed a petition in the LHC through Advocate Chaudhry Imran Raza Chadhar.

LHC Justice Anwarul Haq Pannu will hear the petition. The petition states that Javed Latif is an MNA and the permission was not sought from the speaker before his arrest.

The position adopted a stance that the CIA police was illegally detained MNA Mian Javed Latif.

Earlier, Additional sessions Judge Wajid Minhas cancelled the interim bail of PML-N leader Javed Latif in a case pertaining to delivering anti-state speeches on Tuesday.

After the cancellation of the bail, the police arrested him from Saggian Bridge as he had left court.

On April 14, the court had extended interim bail of PML-N leader Mian Javed Latif till April 27.
