LAHORE (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) appeared before National Accountability Court (NAB) in Sialkot’s Kent View Housing Society scandal. According to sources, the PML-N stalwart was grilled for two and half hours by NAB team Lahore. The former federal minister was asked to appear before the anti-graft watchdog at 11am today but he reached at 10am, sources added. The PML-N leader had been summoned in a private housing society case at 11am. He is accused of selling more land than existing land. Khawaja Asif also appeared before NAB Lahore on July 3; however, the joint investigation team expressed dissatisfaction with his answers. The accountability bureau directed the PML-N leader to bring relevant documents to NAB’s Lahore office. NAB has accused Asif of illegally building a private housing project, Kent View Housing Society, in Sialkot. He has been asked to submit details of the funds invested in the project by his family members along with a money trail. He is also alleged misuse of power. The bureau claimed that the society did not stick to its original layout of 137 kanals and spread over to state land. The plots on public land have been sold to people. Asif’s wife, Musarrat Ali, and son, Asad Asif, are also being investigated in the case.
