PML-N leaders’ arrest proves nexus of PTI govt, NAB: Shehbaz
August 10, 2019
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said that arrest of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leaders once again proved the nexus of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, Shehbaz Shairf said – amid uproar from the MNAs in attendance – Imran Khan is mistaken if he thinks he can pressure us with such cruel tactics. “They are pushing us against the wall, but we won’t be pushed back,” he vowed. He said that will ready to tolerate PM Imran Khan’s injustice but won’t bow down before him. “The arrest of PML-N leaders including Maryam Nawaz clearly proved the complicit between NAB and the incumbent government,” he maintained. He further claimed that Maryam’s arrest is an attempt to distract from the government’s failed policy on Kashmir. “It’s a tactic to distract from the sinking economy, from the crashing stock market,” he added. Responding to Shehbaz Sharif’s speech, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Minister for Federal Education Shafqat Mehmood suggested PML-N leaders to better prove their innocence in corruption cases. He said that the PML-N representatives should defend themselves in court regarding their looted money. They (PML-N members) are using Parliament to conceal their wrongdoings, he continued. He further mentioned that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif failed to answer how they purchased the London flats. On the occasion, former defence minister and PML-N stalwart Khawaja Asif slammed the accountability process and said that the accountability is just only for the PML-N leaders. “What is mistake of Maryam Nawaz,” he questioned. He also mentioned that why the case of foreign funding is pended?, adding that they will exposed after trial of foreign funded cases. He also alleged that they saved money in the fake accounts.  He denied to accept one sided accountability process and vowed to fight against inside and outside the parliament. Addressing the National Assembly, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan lashed out against the opposition, specifically PML-N calling them out on inviting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a personal guest to their grand-daughter’s wedding. He also said that those levying blame on the present government for Kashmir issue had close and personal ties with the Indian premier who has been waging the most brutal genocide in Indian Occupied Kashmir. He asked leaders of the PML-N over millions alleged to have been deposited in their accounts via telegraphic transfers (TT’s) earned through illegal means. Ali Khan also said that at a critical time when the country should be united under the cause of Kashmir, the assembly stands in disarray which is troublesome and causes concern.
