ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders called for not getting the federal government and urged to focus on Punjab alone.

The demand was made by the participants during a meeting presided over by PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif.

The leaders advised the party not to form the government if the PPP does not join hands with them. "The country is facing economic problems and it is not appropriate to assume the responsibility alone," they opined.

Some participants were of the view that the objective of assuming the federal government is to save the state and steer it out of crises.

PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif clarified that they would not accept unprincipled demand of any ally to form the government. Owing to contradictory opinions from the leaders, the party could not make the final decision about the formation of the government.

However, the party leaders were unanimous to form the government in Punjab. The number of MPAs has reached 154 after the joining of the independent candidates.
