ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leaders on Tuesday filed petition against Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for withholding funds for the Narowal Sports City Complex project. Speaking to the journalists in Narowal along with PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb, former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal alleged the prime minister for withholding funds for the Narowal Sports City Complex project. He said that there is loss of national exchequer due to halt in the project.  He said Pakistan lost sports project as a result of revenge tactics and baseless allegations were levelled against him. The PML-N senior leader said that the PM Imran Khan withheld the funding of the sports complex soon after coming into power, adding a case was lodged against him over irregularities in the Narowal Sports City Complex. “The astroturf of the complex imported worth millions of rupees was not installed on time and has been wasted,” he added. Ahsan Iqbal said that Peshawar’s BRT project is the biggest corruption scandal of the current government. “The NAB convenes a meeting in 2 hours to appeal against our bails. The PTI looted Rs300 billion but there is no one to question them.”
