GILGIT (92 News) – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz-Nawaz (PML-N) has secured enough seats in yesterday's Gilgit-Baltistan election to form its government with 14 seats. As per unofficial results, PML-N candidates won from 14 constituencies, while Islami Tehreek, JUI and PTI won one each. The PPP and its former chief minister Mehdi Shah suffered a defeat in the election, failing to clinch a single seat even. On the other hand, Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen has won three seats. Tight security arrangements were put in place across Gilgit-Baltistan to ensure smooth polling and the army was deployed in some areas of the region.
