PML-N has no sense of democracy: Imran Khan
January 27, 2017
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has on Friday strongly condemned the worst rumpus in the National Assembly yesterday and said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has no sense of democracy. Talking to media in Islamabad on Friday, he said that the 10 members of the ruling PML-N thrashed one man in the National Assembly yesterday, adding that the people ask him to go to the assembly. Khan said that what happened yesterday did not happen for the first time as the ruling party has already spurred such fascist moves in the past as well. On the occasion, party vice president Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the efforts are underway to bring another letter of the Qatari prince. He said that they have moved another privileged motion today, adding that the Speaker National Assembly will take decision in this regard. Meanwhile, Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed said that whatever happened yesterday in the National Assembly didn’t happen with any reason, adding that the ministers were creating this situation for the last five days. Earlier, the National Assembly session yesterday witnessed rumpus as government and opposition members started grappling. Federal Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and PTI’s Shehryar Afridi started fighting when five opposition members requested Speaker Ayyaz Sadiq to submit a privilege motion against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi raised the issue of prime minister’s statement and Panama Leaks and raised slogans against the prime minister. The treasury members gave a befitting response to this and chanted slogans against Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen. Consequently, the House turned into a fish market.
