KARACHI (92 News) – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) have agreed to activate the opposition alliance and hold the All-Parties Conference. Talking to the media after a meeting between PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday, PML-N leader Ahsan said that the APC would be convened after devising a strategy in tomorrow's meeting of the Rahbar Committee. "The government has become a curse for the entire country," he maintained. He said that all options would be utilized to send the government home. PPP leader Farhatullah Babar said that the government is not doing accountability, but these are one-sided activities. "The noose is being tightened around Nawaz Sharif," he said. He said that serious allegations had been levelled against the PM's special assistant, but the prime minister and the NAB are silent over the matter. PPP MNA Naveed Qamar said that Shehbaz Sharif had come to console the Karachiites badly affected by heavy rains. "It is an encouraging message. It is time for solidarity. The opposition parties should devise a joint strategy," he added.
