ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) have demanded extension in the date for submitting the nomination papers for the general elections scheduled for February 8.

The PML-N has written a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) seeking extension in the date for submitting the nomination papers. It contended that acquiring of no-objection certificates (NOCs) takes some time and hence the deadline should be extended.

PPP leader Saleeem Mandviwala said that the candidates were facing difficulties for acquiring documents mandatory for the nomination papers. He demanded that the date for submitting the nomination papers should be extended.

Meanwhile, the BAP has also written a letter to the ECP for extension in the date for submitting the nomination papers.
