PML-N presents its manifesto promising parliament's supremacy, reduction in inflation by 10% in a year

LAHORE (92 News) - The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday presented its manifesto which include to ensure the supremacy of the palriament and an immediate relief in the exorbitant power bills.

In the manifesto having the slogan 'Pakistan Ko Suchay Manshoor Se Nawaz Do' (Give Pakistan A True Manifesto), the PML-N promised to reduce inflation by 10 percent in one year. It said that poverty will be reduced by 25 percent and unemployment by five percent in five years. As per manifesto, about 10 million jobs will be created across the country. It set a target to bring the economic growth rate above six percent. After the formation of the PML-N government, the annual remittances and exports will be taken to US$40 and $US 60 billion. It said technology will be used to increase crop production besides provision of free medical treatment to the low-income people. All government offices will be made public and environment friendly, a special implementation council will be established to implement the manifesto.

It also promised to ensure the verdict on petty cases in two months and big and difficult cases in a year. According to the manifesto, the Articles 62 and 63 will be restored to their original state. A timely and effective judicial system will be implemented in addition to reforms in it. The 'punchayat' system will be an alternate system to resolve the court disputes. Anti-corruption institutions and agencies will be strengthened. Commercial courts will be established. A digital system will be established in the judiciary and court proceedings will be broadcast live.

It also carries privileges for the youth most of all as well as provision of all-possible facilities in sports. 

Presenting the manifesto, PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif said that today he had come to talk about the future and he was not in a mood to lodge complaints. "All kinds of revengeful actions were taken against us. We should know where the mistake was made?" he added.

The PML-N Quaid said that the PPP had the government from 2008 to 2013. "We had several differences with the PPP on different issues. We signed the Charter of Democracy. It is not in my manifesto to launch a long march to remove an elected government. We allowed the PPP to complete its tenure," he declared.

Nawaz Sharif said that they had always done the politics of principles. "We constructed the road from Islamabad to Bani Gala. We will try to implement the manifesto if Allah Almighty gave us an opportunity. If we came in the opposition, we will not do what the PTI did," he hoped.

He said that the biggest issue faced by the country was economy. "Shehbaz Sharif and his team saved the country from bankruptcy. There was no inflation in our government. Presently, the country is besieged by several crises. We want to steer the country out of these crises," he added.

Speaking on the occasion, PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif said that economic empowerment of women and agriculture have basic status in their manifesto. "We will not only utter words, but also implement our manifesto. The key pillar of Nawaz Sharif's manifesto is the welfare of the youth," he declared.
