LAHORE (92 News) - The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has rejected the proposal to resign from the Punjab Assembly, deciding to the contest the election for the slot of chief minister vigorously on July 22.

The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday.

It was also decided that the PML-N would contact the PTI Nazriyati Group to seek their votes. PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif also participated in the meeting through the video link.

During the meeting, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah presented a report on the defeat of the party in the by-elections.

He said that the PML-N workers had not accepted the workers dissidents from other parties. "The difficult decisions increased inflation in the country," he maintained.
