PML-N rejects Rawalpindi commissioner's allegations of rigging in elections

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has rejected the allegations of the Rawalpindi commissioner, saying that the machinery of lies is being sold nowadays.

Reacting to the statement on Saturday, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb she said that the commissioner is neither a returning officer (RO) nor a deputy returning officer (DRO) nor he is any constitutional responsibility.

"The conscience of the commissioner woke up after eight days. "Where was he during these days? His statement is based on lies," she added.

The PML-N spokesperson said that the candidates having the lead of up to 50,000 votes were got defeated. "The commissioner has not presented no proofs, including Form 45. He earlier thought about suicide and later gave it up," she maintained.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the contacts and bank accounts of the commissioner should be probed. "The commissioner has levelled the allegations against the chief justice and the chief election commissioner. An action should be taken against him for making the baseless allegations," she added.
