PML-N seeks extension in date for submission of party tickets for LG election

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has on Friday met with the Secretary Election Commission and demanded extension in date for submitting party tickets for the local government elections in Punjab. Four-member delegation comprising of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Law Ashtar Ausaf Ali, Member National Assembly Pervaiz Malik and Provincial Minister Ashfaq Sarwar met Secretary Election Commission Babar Yaqoob. Talking to the media, Rana Sanaullah said that they have reservations regarding submission of party tickets date, adding that we wanted extension in the date. He said that they have informed the ECP about their reservations. The minister said that they have assured best possible security measures during the elections, adding that KP-like incidents of mismanagement will not occur in Punjab. He said that the investigation regarding martyrdom of Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada is in process and the attacker’s group has been identified, but they could not tell the media anything in this regard.
