PML-N’s Senator Mushahidullah Khan dies at age 68

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PML-N  senior leader Senator Mushahidullah Khan has died in Islamabad on Wednesday early Thursday morning. He was 68.

This was confirmed by PML-N leader Mohammad Zubair. Senator Mushahidullah was unwell for quite a long time, added Zubair, who is also the spokesperson for PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz.

He used to come to the Senate sessions with great determination and courage, Zubair mentioned, adding that he was a fearless man and stood firm against dictatorships.

The former Sindh governor added that the late senator, who was a federal minister under the previous government, was among the senior-most leaders of the party. His death, he noted, was a great loss for his family, the PML-N, and Pakistan.

It is pertinent to mention here that PML-N had earlier awarded a ticket to the senior politician to contest the forthcoming Senate elections on a general seat.

According to family, the funeral prayers of Mushahid Ullah Khan will be offered in 11-H Islamabad after Zuhr prayers.

Mushahid Ullah Khan was born on in 1953 in Rawalpindi. He did his early education from Islamia High School in Rawalpindi and completed graduation from Gordon College in Rawalpindi. He received L.L.B degree from Urdu Law College, University of Karachi in 1997.

He joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in 1990. He was elected as Senator on PML-N seat in 2009. In 2015, Khan was re-elected to the Senate of Pakistan as a candidate of PML-N. He also served as Minister for Climate Change twice.
