ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has termed the arrest of party leader Ahsan Iqbal an outcome of the nexus between the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and PM Imran Khan Niazi. Reacting to the arrest of Ahsan Iqbal on Monday, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the arrests of the opposition leaders were continuing for the last 15 months. “The PML-N is a party of Nawaz Sharif. It can neither be intimidated nor bowed.” She said that Ahsan Iqbal had been arrested as he was very active. “Innocent people have been put behind the bars because the government is incompetent and the prime minister is selected,” he said. Marriyum Aurangzeb said that those stopping China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project could do anything. Ahsan Iqbal’s son Ahmad Iqbal said that each person who worked for the betterment of the country was arrested. He said that the voices against the government would not reduce, but would increase. “The Narowal Sports Complex project was started during the PPP tenure. 90 percent project has been completed. The government is destroying each good work,” he said. Atta Tarar said that they could not be demoralized by the unilateral activities.
