ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has termed the presidential reference as unnecessary and wastage of time.

In a reply submitted to the Supreme Court in the presidential reference filed for the explanation of Article 63A on Thursday, the PML-N said that the Supreme Court has power to interpret the constitution, but no power to amend it.

It stated that every member has the right to vote. "The vote cast by each member will be counted. The presidential reference is premature and an unnecessary exercise."

The reply was written by Makhdoom Ali Khan advocate.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) submitted to the SC stated that the presidential reference does not come under the Article 186. "The Article 63A is not applied before casting the vote."

On the other hand, the PTI in the reply contended that the vote is a trust of the party and there will be no individual status of the vote in the no-confidence motion.
