LAHORE (92 News) – PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz cancelled her visit to Karachi on Saturday.

Talking to the media on Saturday, she said that she had cancelled the visit due to a sharp increase in the coronavirus cases. "I made the decision keeping in view the health of the masses," she added.

Maryam Nawaz said that she hoped Miftah Ismail will succeed. "The PDM will announce the next strategy after Ramazanul Mubarik," she added.

She said that Shehbaz Sharif would have been the prime minister had he left Nawaz Sharif. "Those trying to break up our family should remember that time supports none," she added.

She had to visit to Karachi to participate in the election campaign of party candidate Miftah Ismail in NA-249.

On the other hand, violations of the electoral code of conduct are going on in the constituency. Kashmir Committee Chairman Shehryar Afridi participated in an Iftar party.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has directed the Karachi commissioner to provide sanitizer at each polling station.
