PML-N wants to escape from foreign funding case, says Farrukh Habib

LAHORE (92 News) – Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib has said that the PML-N wants to escape from the foreign funding case.

Talking to the media on Wednesday, he said that many political parties have been getting foreign funding. “Qazi Hussain Ahmed had accused Maulana Fazlur Rehman of receiving funds from Libya. Benazir had accused Nawaz Sharif of getting funds from Osama Bin Ladin,” he added.

The minister said that a scrutiny committee should be formed to probe into the foreign funding of all parties. “Letter should be written to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and account details of all political parties should be asked. Truth should be thrashed out,” he maintained.

He said that allegations of funding from Israel and India could not be proven against the PTI. “The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should immediately make the scrutiny committee dysfunctional,” he concluded.
