LAHORE (92 News) – The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) summoned central executive committee (CEC) on Monday (today) to devise future strategy over former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest. According to the reports, the sons of incarcerated PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif’s Hamza Shehbaz and Salman Shehbaz met with disqualified prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz at their Jati Umra residence to discuss his father’s arrest by NAB. They discussed the PML-N president’s arrest by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and available legal resource to secure his release ahead of the Oct 14 by-elections. Speaking to the journalists after the meeting, Hamza lamented that a person who served the nation and saved the national kitty’s Rs23 billion has been sent behind bars. He complained his father was summoned in the Saaf Pani Company case, but arrested in the Ashiyana-e-Iqbal Housing project case. This joke of the arrest of the national leader won’t last long, he added. Earlier, an accountability court granted 10-day physical remand of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif in the Rs14 billion Ashiyana-i-Iqbal housing project scam.
