PML-N’s Iftikhar Cheema wins NA-101 by-polls

WAZIRABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Iftikhar Cheema by grabbing 82,420 votes on Wednesday. According to unofficial result, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Muhammad Ahmed Chattha could secure 80,123 votes. Almost all national parties had fielded their candidates but there was a tough contest between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Justice (r) Iftikhar Ahmed Cheema and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Muhammad Ahmed Chatta. Strict security arrangements had been made and troops had been deployed in and outside sensitive polling stations to avoid any untoward incident.
