KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) has on Monday foiled a smuggling bid by seizing huge cache of drugs worth millions of rupees in a raid at Pakistan-Iran border. The PMSA detained a vessel while its crew members managed to escape in the deep Ormara sea and recovered hashish worth millions of rupees. Director General Maritime Rear Admiral Jamil Akhtar said that they are fully aware of their responsibilities and eight new ships will be included in the navy. pmsa-2 The hashish was being smuggled on boats, one of which was in custody of the agency, he said. No arrests were carried out during the operation, he added. He said that the Pakistan Navy is fully capable of giving a befitting reply to any aggression.
