Police arrest six more accused in Mian Channu lynching case

MIAN CHANNU (92 News) – The police arrested six more accused in the lynching of a man on the charge of blasphemy on Monday.

The arrested accused include Sada Bahar, Matloob, Rafaqat, Ansar Hussain S/O Muhammad Nawaz, Ansar Hussain S/O Sadiq and Muhammad Shafique.

The Punjab police spokesperson said that the arrested accused can be seen torturing the citizen and instigating other accused. They have been booked under the sections of ATA and heinous crime.

He said that they had so far arrested 102 suspects.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that the accused deserve punishment as per law. "No one can be allowed to take the law into his hands. The culprits will not be able to evade exemplary punishment," he added.
