Police clueless about 1,109 Peshawar-based devotees coming from Taftan

PESHAWAR (92 News) – The police are clueless about 1,109 devotees belonging to Peshawar who had entered Pakistan from Taftan a few days back. Sources in police said that the phone numbers of devotees are either closed or incorrect. They said that addresses of some devotees are not correct. Dozens of people belong to the same area. Earlier on April 4, as many as 1,160 devotees had left for their homes from Multan quarantine centre at Labour Complex. The quarantined people belonged to Attock, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan. The devotees, including women, youths and elders, were very happy at their departure. Punjab Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik, Deputy Commissioner Amir Khattak and CPO Zubair Dareshak bid the first batch farewell. The devotees thanked Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar for hospitality and the best facilities given to them. They also thanked the deputy commissioner for making the best arrangements at the centre.
