Police declare Maulana Samiul Haq’s murder as blind

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – The police have declared the murder of JUI-S chief Maulana Samiul Haq as blind. In the interim challan submitted after four-month delay to the magistrate, the police said that 16 official witnesses appeared in the case, but no arrest was made. According to the challan, there were severe wounds on the face, cheeks, chest, belly and shoulders when the police reached hospital. Hundreds of people were protesting in and outside the hospital. It added that the body was taken and buried in Akora Khattak without permission. Police were forcibly stopped from conducting the autopsy of Maulana Samiul Haq. The police gave an application for exhumation of the body, but could not do so. According to the challan, DNA, LFD and polygraph tests of 14 suspects were conducted which were later cleared. The police said that teams have been formed to arrest the accused and all resources, including geo-fencing, are being used in this regard.
