Police raid PTI candidate Malik Nawaz Awan’s office

LAHORE (92 News) - Police raided the office of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Malik Nawaz Awan and arrested his guard.

In his statement, Malik Nawaz Awan alleged that police came to his office and asked him to stop the election campaign. “Police have also arrested my guard. My guard was forcibly taken away with weapons. Our worker does not know how to fire a pistol. An FIR was also registered against a worker who took off the flex.” 

Malik Nawaz Awan said that he had been tolerating since day one and would not tolerate it anymore. "If the police have to do that, get a party ticket and compete with me. We want peace. So we are not taking the law into our own hands. Our workers should be released immediately and as much security as the opposition candidate should be provided immediately,” he added. 

On the other hand, Lahore police spokesman said that section 144 is enforced in the city. Carrying weapons is prohibited. Nawaz Awan's guard resisted so Police have taken the guard into custody with weapons.
