Police raid residence of ex-CM Ch Pervaiz Elahi in Gujrat, no arrest made
GUJRAT (92 News) - The police raided the residence of former chief minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi and continued to besiege it for four hours.
However, no arrest was made during the raid. According to sources, no family member of the Chaudhary brothers was present in the house at the time of the raid.
On the other hand, Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi condemned the illegal police raid, announcing to move court against the raid.
He said that the caretaker chief minister should refrain from resorting to cheap tactics and it should arrest the terrorists instead of arresting the opponents.
Zain Ali Bhatti, the spokesperson for Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi, announced to stage protest demonstrations against the violation of boundary wall across the province.
