Police re-arrest Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi after release on LHC orders

LAHORE (92 News) - The Islamabad police re-arrested PTI president Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi soon after his release on the orders of the Lahore High Court.

Earlier, Justice Amjad Rafique of the Lahore High Court had ordered the release of former chief minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi.

Hearing the bail plea, Justice Amjad Rafique questioned: "Was the accountability court not informed that the intra-court had dismissed the appeal."

The prosecutor told court that he did not know it.

Talking to the media, Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi said that he was firmly standing with the PTI. "For this reason, he has been granted the bail after four months," he added.
