Police still fail to arrest PM’s nephew who involved at PIC attack

LAHORE (92 News) – Police still failed to arrest Prime Minister Imran Khan’s nephew Hassan Niazi, who was involved at the attack of Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC). The security agencies are not able to arrest the lawyers who attacked at Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan. Barrister Hassan Niazi vanished after the attack at PIC. After nomination of his name in the FIR, police raided in his house and other places but he was not arrested till now. Hafeezullah Niazi, father of Hassan Niazi, defended his son and said that he did not murder of anyone, only media trial is being conducted on this matter. He also said that there is no video of Hassan Niazi for leading the mob damaging and setting the police van on fire. “If they have any video then I will present him before law,” he reiterated. Hafeezullah Niazi also termed that if his son violated the law then the action should be taken against him. He also condemned the attack at PIC. He said that opening the door of police van is not any crime. “Hassan Niazi is in Pakistan not in abroad,” he clarified. It is pertinent to mention here that the footage went viral of Hassaan, the son of Hafeezullah Niazi, participating in the violent lawyers’ march on the PIC. He wasn’t initially named in the FIR lodged against more than 200 lawyers on Thursday but later was added. The police raided the house of Hassan Khan Niazi located in a private housing society in Raiwind area, but could not arrest him. The police have so far conducted five raids to arrest him. Barrister Hassan Khan Niazi was also involved in the attack, arson and sabotage in the Punjab Institute of Cardiology. The videos about Hassan Khan Niazi leading the mob damaging and setting the police van on fire also went viral. He is also seen instigating his colleagues. Hassan Khan Niazi was severely criticized on Twitter after the videos about his involvement in PIC attack surfaced. However, Hassan Khan Niazi had dissociated himself from the incident, saying he only supports the objectives of his colleagues. “I participated in the demonstration, but I do not support violence,” he said. Barrister Hassan Khan Niazi has mentioned himself as the torch-bearer of human rights on his Twitter account. On Wednesday, at least three patients lost their life during the attack at Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) by lawyers who stormed and ransacked it in protest against doctors. The administration hid to save their lives when the PIC was attacked by the rioters; however, the process of treatment for patients stopped for a while and three patients died during this horrible scene. Earlier, Punjab Minister for Information Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has said that raids are being conducted to arrest Hassan Khan Niazi. Talking to the media on Saturday, he said that Hassan Niazi will soon be in the custody of the police. “Hassan Khan Niazi is the son of Hafeezullah Khan Niazi first and then the nephew of PM Imran Khan,” he said. He said that action is being taken against Hassan Khan Niazi. “Law is equal for everyone in Pakistan.” Fayyaz Chohan said that Hafeezullah Khan Niazi is a supporter of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Talking to the media on Saturday, he said that Hassan Niazi will soon be in the custody of the police. “Hassan Khan Niazi is the son of Hafeezullah Khan Niazi first and then the nephew of PM Imran Khan,” he said. He said that action is being taken against Hassan Khan Niazi. “Law is equal for everyone in Pakistan.” Fayyaz Chohan said that Hafeezullah Khan Niazi is a supporter of the PML-N.
