ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The political leadership of the country including the prime minister and chief ministers of the flood-hit provinces including KPK, Punjab and Sindh remained out of country while the military leadership was seen to be in action. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was in Saudi Arabia, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in England and Sindh Chief Minister was in Dubai along with PPP chief Bilawal and Asif Zardari. Meanwhile on Tuesday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif ordered to set up a flood monitoring system at all corps headquarters. He directed to expedite relief activities in the flood-hit areas. “Pak Army will ensure relief activities in the affected areas at all costs,” he said. As a result, the army set up relief camps in all corps, while relief and rescue missions are underway by the military personnel in Chitral, and south Punjab.
