Political parties’ grand alliance formed to defeat ruling party

LAHORE (92 News) – A grand alliance of five political parties including Pakistan People’s Party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has been formed to defeat the ruling party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. A meeting of opposition parties was held at the residence of PPP Punjab president Mian Manzoor Wattoo. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Chaudhry Sarwar, JI leader Liaqat Baloch, Awami Tehreek leader Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Sunni Ittehad Council leaders have attended the meeting. During the meeting, the participants decided to constitute a grand alliance of the PTI, PPP, PAT, JI, SIC and JUI. The alliance has been formed for Punjab’s local government elections. The participants further demanded the Election Commissioners of all the provinces to resign.
