No military solution to Kashmir dispute, says Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PPP co-chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that there is no military solution to the Kashmir dispute. Talking to the media after a meeting of the parliamentary parties on Monday, he said that India had lost moral ground due to its aggression in Occupied Kashmir. “Our position will weaken if we did not reply to India by showing unity,” he said. Bilawal Bhutto said that Imran Khan had raised good points. Earlier in his remarks during the parliamentary leaders meeting in Islamabad, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari assured Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of full cooperation on Kashmir dispute and Indian aggression. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that despite differences with government on multiple issues, his party stands shoulder to shoulder with it on Kashmir issue and the Indian aggression. He said that this is a turning point in Indo-Pak relations and a united Pakistan can counter Indian aggression. The PPP chairman said: “By working together we can achieve our national security goals, adding that there is no military solution to the Kashmir dispute.” On the occasion, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that today's moot conveys a clear message to India and the international community that the country's political parties are united in their stance on Kashmir dispute. He said that the Kashmiri people have stood up against the Indian atrocities, adding that India understands that there is no military solution to the dispute but still it is resorting to belligerence. “Pakistan is not isolated at the diplomatic front. He regretted the postponement of the SAARC Summit,” he added. The PTI leader: “Indian statements regarding revocation of Indus Water Treaty are unfortunate.” Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq said that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s UNGA speech was reflective of the sentiments of the people of Pakistan, adding that the political parties stand by the government and the valiant armed forces at this critical juncture. “The meeting should formulate a unified message today in the national interest,” he added. In his remarks, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that we need to forge national unity at this critical moment and collective voice and resolve of the entire nation is need of the hour. He said we need to denounce and highlight the brutal state oppression in Indian-held Kashmir (IoK) at political and diplomatic level.
