Political, religious figures might be targeted, NACTA issues threat alert
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has issued a threat alert, saying that political and religious personalities might be targeted.
In a letter sent to all the four IGs and chief secretaries on Thursday, there is a threat of terrorism in Peshawar and Quetta.
"Political and religious figures might be targeted in a bomb blast or a suicide attack," the letter read.
It stated that terrorist organizations are planning target-killing in Quetta and Peshawar. "The terrorist organizations have also planned to murder high-level personalities," he added.
The letter recommended foolproof security arrangements in both cities.
