Politicians laud statement of COAS General Raheel Sharif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Politicians have lauded the statement of Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif regarding his retirement.

PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari said that the announcement of COAS General Raheel Sharif was appreciable.

Qamar Zaman Kaira said that General Raheel Sharif had made the decision as per expectations of the masses.

AML chief Sheikh Rashid said that decision had increased the respect for the COAS. “The decision was right and timely. I already knew that Raheel Sharif will not get extension,” he maintained.

PTI leader Shafqat Mahmood said that COAS Raheel Sharif had led the institution in the best way.

ANP leader Haji Adeel termed the decision of COAS General Raheel Sharif historic. “General Raheel Sharif made important decisions as the COAS and they became a source of increasing the dignity of the Army,” he said.
