Polling for by-election in PP-7 Taxila underway

TAXILA (92 News) – The voting for by-election is in progress in PP-7 Taxila Rawalpindi-VII on Monday. Polling will continue till 5pm without any break. A tough contest is expected between the candidates of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). As many as 167 polling stations for the by-election have been divided in three categories. At least 21 polling stations have been declared sensitive. The law-enforcement agencies will be deployed in the constituency to provide security to voters. The contingents of Elite force will also be deployed to ensure free, fair and transparent elections. The seat fell vacant owing to the death of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Muhammad Siddique Khan.
