Polling for Sattar-led MQM-P intra-party underway in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – The polling for the intra-party elections of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s (MQM-P) PIB faction led by Dr Farooq Sattar is underway at a KMC ground in Karachi on Sunday. The polling will continue till 6pm in Karachi and Hyderabad. The MQM-P’s intra-party elections will elect party’s convener, deputy convener, Rabita Committee, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other representatives. The results of the party’s intra-party elections will be announced in a press conference. In a video message released today, Dr Farooq Sattar tried to woo party activists urging them to take part in the today’s intra-party polls. He appealed to party activists across Sindh to participate in the elections for Rabita Committee and Central Executive Council (CEC). On the other hand, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, convener of party’s Bahadurabad faction dissolved the Hyderabad Zonal. Bahadurabad faction’s spokesman Ameenul Haq said that the action was taken for violating the party’s organizational rules.
