BADIN (92 News) - Vote count is underway after polling for the by-election in Sindh Assembly constituency PS-70 Matli (Badin II) ended at 5pm on Thursday.

A tough contest is expected among the candidates of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) and the Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP).

The seat was vacated due to the death of PPP MPA Bashir Halepoto.

There are 166,809 registered voters in the constituency, including 75,222 women and 91,587 men. Of the 123 polling stations and 423 polling booths, 194 have been established for women and 229 for men.
