Polling underway in NA-245, PS-115 Karachi by-polls

KARACHI (92 News) – The polling for by-elections National Assembly constituency NA-245 Karachi and Provincial Assembly constituency PS-115 is underway on Thursday (today). The polling which started at 8am will continue without any break till 5:00pm. Almost all national parties have fielded their candidates but tough contest will be between Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The NA-245 and PS-115 seats fell vacant following the resignations of MQM’s Rehan Hashmi and Arshad Vohra. Strict security arrangements were made in and outside polling stations. On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate for NA-245 Amjadullah withdrew himself from the by-polls strengthening the position of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
