Protest of Poor families living in Sindh Assembly’s premises continues in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – As the protest of families and children of poor employees, whose houses had been demolished in the premises of Sindh Assembly continues, they had to spend another night in open sky in severe cold.

The government’s promise of resumption of electricity and gas and to to provide alternate house has not been fulfilled.

Several politicians had expressed solidarity with the poor families and assured of cooperation but the Sindh government has not done anything for the poor families.

Earlier, the poor residents said that the provincial government has deprived them of their houses and they are forced to live in open sky.

They had given deadline to the Sindh government otherwise they would go on hunger strike, adding that the PPP-led government would be responsible of any loss.
