Poor people to be provided shelter in Pakistan: Firdous

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan has assured that the poor people will be provided shelter in Pakistan under Naya Pakistan Housing Program on Friday. In a series of tweets on Friday, the special assistant said that the construction of housing units under Naya Pakistan Housing Program will provide shelter to the poor people. Firdous Ashiq Awan said the procedure will be simplified besides extending facilitation to those associated with the construction sector.     She also said abolition of sales tax during the construction phase, reduction of capital value tax, imposition of fixed tax and issuance of e-statement papers will prove to be an important milestone in taking forward the construction sector. The special assistant said procedures pertaining to approvals and NOCs are being cut to a great extent. She was confident that the development of construction sector will generate economic activity and create immense job opportunities for the youth.
