Pakistan Observing Kashmir Solidarity Day

The nation is observing Kashmir Solidarity Day to express wholehearted support of Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination under United Nations resolutions. The day will highlight the plight of oppressed Kashmiri people and remind the world community of its obligations towards the resolution of the outstanding dispute.

The day being marked to expose worst ever oppression being perpetrated by Indian occupation forces against Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K). One minute silence will be observed at 10:00 am across the country.

Human chains will be formed at Kohala, Mangla, Holar and Azad Pattan points linking Pakistan and AJK. Besides different parts of Pakistan, the Kashmir solidarity rallies will also be held in the rest of the world. The Pakistan government has announced a public holiday in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day today.

The events will be organised in a novel manner to expose the tattered and sham face of so-called Indian democracy prevailing in Delhi that ripped off the special status of Kashmir on August 05, 2019.

The day was first observed back in 1991 when the entire political leadership of the country unanimously expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren.

The brutal occupant Indian forces had unleashed the worst human rights abuses and violence on the innocent Kashmiri people in its aftermath making around 8 million people hostage under military siege.
