Power breakdown follows rain once again in Karachi
KARACHI (92 News) - Intermittent rain during the night was once again followed by a power failure early on Monday morning as the city's power utility K-Electric's ramshackle transmission system could not stand the rain and choked out.
As per details, power supply to several areas has not been restored until filing of this report. However, K-Electric authorities said that technical faults have been fixed. The affected areas include Landhi, Korangi, Gulistan Johar, Federal B Area, North Nazimabad, Malir, Baldia, Old City Area and Sachal.
Meanwhile, power supply to the Dhibaji pumping station also remained suspended, along with the bursting of pipeline causing a loss of 10 million gallons of water to the people of Karachi.
