PP-168 by-poll: PTI’s Asad Khokhar wins in vote recount

LAHORE (92 News) – Malik Asad Khokhar of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won in vote recount in the PP-168 by-election on Friday. According to unofficial results after the vote recount, Malik Asad Khokhar has obtained more 14 votes. As a result, the votes have been increased to 17,592 from 17,579. Malik Asad Khokhar has dedicated his success to the people of the constituency and Prime Minister Imran Khan. Khokhar had won the by-poll by securing 17,579 votes. He was followed by Rana Khalid Mehmood of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz who secured 16,892 votes. The seat was vacated by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique, after he was elected as a member of the National Assembly. Pakistan People’s Party had announced to support the PML-N in the by-election.
