GUJRANWALA (92 News) - The police on Sunday nabbed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Zahid alias Tumma Butt for an alleged exchange of hot words with a DSP, and locked him up in a women's jail.

As per reports, Tumma Butt was trying to enter into the women polling station where upon stopping by police officials, a heated argument was staged between the accused and the DSP. Later, he was arrested. "We forbade the PML-N leader from entering the women polling but he didn’t listen," police officials said.

Meanwhile, re-polling in 33 polling stations of PP-97 Gujranwala is in progress. The election tribunal had ordered re-polling in the thirty-three polling stations of the constituency in which 52,550 voters will exercise their right to vote.

An election tribunal (ET) headed by Justice Kazim Malik had ordered re-polling in 33 polling stations of the constituency within 60 days. after rigging was proved. The seat was earlier won by Ashraf Warraich of PML-N in 2013 election.
