NA-154 by-polls: PPP former minister Nasir Baig joins PML-N, announces support for PML-N candidate

LODHRAN (92 News) – Pakistan People’s Party’s former federal minister Mirza Nasir Baig has on Monday announced to join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz after 37 years. Addressing a press conference along with PML-N’s member National Assembly Abdur Rehman Khan Kanju and member Punjab Assembly Malik Sajjad Khan Joyia, former federal minister Nasir Baig Joyia said that he worked for the party for the last 37 years but he and party’s die-hard workers were left alone. While announcing to join PML-N, he said that he will support the PML-N candidate Umair Khan Baloch and he will win. Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s former MNAs, MPA and ticket holders had announced to support Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Jahangir Tareen for NA-154 by-elections. Polling will be held at the constituency on the October 11. The main contest is between PML (N) leader Umair Khan Baloch and Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf's (PTI) Jahangir Tareen.
