Uzair Baloch remanded in Rangers custody for 90 days

KARACHI (92 News) – An anti-terrorism court remanded Uzair Baloch, former chief of the People’s Peace Committee and the Lyari gang war ringleader, in the custody of Rangers for 90 days.

He faces 55 cases of terrorism.

A spokesman for the Rangers said that Uzair Baloch was arrested while entering in Karachi.

In his confessional statement after his arrest, Uzair Baloch revealed that the PPP had fully patronized the defunct peace committee.

He said that his differences were developed with Awais Muzaffar Patti over the Lyari operation.

He said that the defunct People’s Peace Committee was used for political benefits.

Uzair Baloch said that the PPP leaders used him for squatting, target killing and teaching a lesson to the MQM.

He confessed that he had killed about 300 people, including Khalid Shehnshah, Arshad Pappu and Sajjad Hussain.
