PPP has only one way of apologize to remain in PDM: Rana Sanaullah

LAHORE (92 News) - Following the appointment of Yousaf Raza Gillani’s for Opposition Leader in the Senate, PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah has said that the PPP has only one way of apologize on its actions in the PDM session.

Talking to 92 News program 'Subh Savaray Pakistan', Rana Sanaullah said that if PPP does not apologize, then its ways are different from the PDM.

Earlier, PML-N senior leader Ahsan Iqbal stressed that the one who betrayed the PDM’s cause will pay heavy price.

Addressing a press conference along with PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah, Ahsan Iqbal said Yousaf Raza Gillani’s application for Opposition Leader in the Senate was a blow to the goals, struggle and unity of the PDM. "The ANP also took a unilateral decision against the PDM's decision," he added.

"Specific senators with whose support the required number was obtained. Everyone knows about they vote on whose directions. If the PPP people had compelled Nawaz Sharif, he would have happily given him the post of the Senate opposition leader," the former interior minister maintianed.

Ahsan Iqbal mentioned that the PDM parties had announced support for Azam Nazeer Tarar for the opposition leader and 27 Senators had confirmed to vote for him.

Earlier today, PPP leader Yousaf Raza Gillani submitted an application for the slot of the Opposition Leader in the Senate.

The Senate Secretariat has issued a notification in this regard. Earlier, he had submitted an application for the slot. The application bore the signatures of 30 members, including four independent senators, was submitted to Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.

The independent senators including Dilawar Khan, Ahmed Khan, Naseebullah Bazai, signed the application.

Senators Sherry Rehman and Rubina Khalid also accompanied Yousaf Raza Gillani.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) wanted to secure the slot for Azam Nazeer Tarar.
