PPP in a position to form govt in Sindh after gaining simple majority
KARACHI (92 News) - The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) is in a strong position to form the government after gaining a simple majority in the Sindh Assembly.
The PPP will be the first party forming the government for fourth consecutive term. According to the results of 90 seats out of total 130, the PPP has won 74 seats. Seven independent candidates have also won.
The MQM has secured six seats, while the GDA and the Jamaat-e-Islami secured two and one seat respectively.
In the Punjab Assembly, the PML-N has won 62 seats while 68 independent candidates have also emerged victorious. The PML also won three seats.
