LAHORE (92 News) – PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan has opposed Azadi March, questioning how a person getting 2-3 percent seats could topple the government. Speaking in 92 News’ Program ‘Night Edition’ on Friday, he said that the PPP cannot be pleased with the trampling of democracy. “The PPP is of the view that the religion card should not be used in the movement,” he said. The PPP leader said that Maulana Fazalur Rahman had received only 2-3 percent votes in the 2018 elections. “I am personally against the act of Maulana Fazalur Rahman, but I will abide by the party decision,” he declared. He said that there is no evil in an in-house change. “An institution did cruelty to former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani and the act was extra-parliament,” he said. Aitzaz Ahsan said that it is an easy task to participate in the protest of Maulana Fazalur Rahman. “The PPP wants to separate politics from religion. The objective of the 2014 sit-in and the October 31 sit-in was that the umpire should raise his finger. The umpire had neither raised the finger in 2014 nor will he raise the finger now,” he opined.
